  • Last Minute: Registration submitted later than 12:01 a.m., June 27, 2024. We encourage you to register as soon as possible since your spot may not be guaranteed the closer we get to the Skate Camp and Competiton.

Details

  • Hosted by the Santa Clarita Speed Skating Club (SCSSC).
  • Sanctioned by US Speedskating (USS).
  • You must be a member of US Speedskating (USS) or another National Governing Organization (NGO) at the time of the camp and competition in order to participate. (You need not be a member when you register - enter 9999 as your USS membership number if you are not currently a member but will be joining USS for the 2024-2025 season in June.)

Competition

  • The competition will be held on a 100 meter x 200 meter Olympic Ice Surface.
  • Jr D through Masters skaters will compete on a 111.12 meter track.
  • Jr E skaters will compete on an 85 meter track.
  • Grouping will be Ability-Based.
  • All skill levels—novice to elite skaters—are welcome.

Thursday and Friday, June 27 and 28, 2024 – Short-track Skating Camp

  • 8:30 a.m. to  4:30 p.m.: on- and off-ice training
  • The Camp will be led by Linlin Sun, 2010 Olympic Gold Medalist for China, and Santa Clarita Speed Skating's USS Certified Head Coach, Mark Jeter.

Saturday, June 29, 2024 – Race Day

USS Sanctioned event with Photo Finish Electronic Timing

  • Noon to 1:00 p.m. - Check-in
  • 1:30 to 1:45 p.m.   - Warm-up
  • 1:45 to 1:55 p.m.  -  Opening Ceremonies   
  • 2:00 to 4:30 p.m.  -  Event Racing (Ability Based)
